One of the key factors in my lack of activity is graphic problems. Crazy polygons shooting off to nowhere, system locks up, black screens... some times it recovers, normally I have to reboot.
I had similar issues, although a tad bit more severe, with my old GForce 5950 before I upgraded to my current ATI card. So I'm wondering if it isn't a motherboard issue... but I can't figure out why it seems to go through periods of acting up, and then long stretches of working ok.
At any rate, the only thing I can think of that may have changed and triggered this recent onslaught of problems, is me changing my FOV. So maybe if I change it back all will be well in the world again.
